Windows 2000 Server Installation

A Safedata specialist will install the customer’s supplied Operating System using Compaq/HP’s SmartStart utility. Installation of Operating System Software is limited to configuring the software to base level and testing to ensure that the software is in conformance to its specifications & presents customer with the initial screen.

With this packaged installation service, an experienced Windows 2000 a Safedata Consultant will:

• Confirm that all pre-installation prerequisites are met

• Install, configure, and test Windows 2000 Server software

• Integrate existing devices into the Windows 2000 environment

• Install, configure, and test Compaq/HP Insight Management Agent software for on-going management of your Windows 2000 systems

• Provide a detailed report of all software installed

• Orient system administrators by demonstrating special Windows 2000 features, providing product usage information, and answering questions

Windows Cluster Installation

Whether you are implementing NT servers and clusters at the same time, or adding clustering capabilities to your existing NT domain, we can help you get off to the right start.

Our services support Compaq/HP Clusters for Windows NT and Microsoft Cluster Server on Compaq/HP Intel server platforms. They include deployment and configuration of clustering hardware and software on two servers, creating a two-node NT cluster.

Choose this solution if you do not have NT Server V4.0 or NT Server Enterprise Edition V4.0 on your servers. Package includes: installation of operating system software on two servers; formatting and partitioning of disk drives; installation of NT Cluster hardware; installation of NT Cluster software.

• For clusters only:

Add-on Installation and Startup Services Package

Choose this solution when you already have NT Server V4.0 or NT Server Enterprise Edition on two servers and are ready to implement Compaq/HP Clusters for Windows NT or Microsoft Cluster Server. Package includes installation of NT Cluster hardware and NT Cluster software.

Exchange Installation

Choose this package to install and configure a complete Exchange Server messaging system on one server and up to 10 clients.

• Safedata will install and configure Exchange Server software; configure Windows NT protocols; configure Exchange connectors and services for Internet Mail Service, Microsoft Mail, and cc:Mail; configure Exchange client software on clients running specified Windows or NetWare operating systems; verify the clients' mail functionality-and more.

Additional Microsoft Exchange Client Installation and Startup Services are available

Choose this package when you require configuration of up to 10 additional Exchange clients.

• Safedata will configure a maximum of 10 additional Exchange mailboxes; install and configure Exchange client software on clients running specified Windows or NetWare operating systems; and verify the clients' mail functionality.

Deployment Services for MS Office 2000  

Installation and configuration

Insight Manager is one of the most widely used systems management tools in the industry - and it's distributed at no additional charge with every Compaq/HP ProLiant or Prosignia server.

• Implementation of Insight Manager 7 managed environments for servers, desktops or portable systems running in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Windows NT, Microsoft Windows 2000, or Novell NetWare environments

Novell Netware 5 Installation

Installation and Startup Services

• A specialist installs and configures NetWare 5 software on one server, including up to five Novell client accounts; one client; and one printer. The specialist also reviews your server's resources to ensure that it is ready for installation. The complete start-up procedure includes creation of necessary system accounts and installation of operating system software.

Upgrade and Migration Services

• Covers all facets of move from NetWare V3.x to NetWare V5.x, or from NetWare V4.x to NetWare V5.x. Comprehensive service packages provide support for one server with up to five Novell client accounts; one client; and one printer - plus a review of server's resources, updating or creation of the necessary system accounts, and installation of operating system software.
